Estate Vines

Eagle Castle Winery sits among the Santa Lucia Mountains in west Paso Robles. The winery itself is unique, in that it was built to replicate a European castle, complete with a moat. All of our wines are crafted with Paso Robles' fruit. Grapes are sourced from six separate vineyards, totaling approximately 750 acres, located on both the west and east sides of Paso Robles. 14 of the 750 acres are Estate vineyard, planted with Syrah, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. This arrangement allows for a range of variety and blending options, while taking advantage of the individual microclimates of the Paso Robles appellation. All of our wines are produced, bottled and barrel aged by our estate winery. Gary Stemper, Eagle Castle’s founder, and a group of investors (a portion of which are Eagle Castle growers) founded Eagle Castle Winery in 1999. With quality in mind, they built a 17,500 sqft, gravityflow, wine production facility. They also erected an 8,500 sqft tasting and event facility on the property. The California Concrete Association named this tasting and event center “2007 Structure of the Year”.
