Soarin' With Our Founders
Eagle Castle founders, Gary
and Marylou Stemper, were high school sweethearts, raised
in Paso Robles. Early in their marriage, they embarked on an adventure
of travel with the Department of Defense, but when it came time to
start a family, they returned home, to their roots. "Paso Robles is a very
special place, with a spirit of can-do and caring for its fellow man," says
Marylou. Throughout their marriage, the Stempers have enjoyed touring
international castles, especially those in England. Marylou's ancestry
is English, which explains the dream of building a castle. The couple has
always loved the wine industry.
