Is iced wine sweet?
Ice wine or Eiswein (as it’s known in Germany) is a sweet, dessert wine made with partially frozen grape varieties. This causes a high concentration of natural sugar content in the juice that makes the resulting wine high in residual sugar. Almost twice as much as a glass of cola!

When should I drink ice wine?

The rule is to serve this rich, sweet wine with a dessert that is a bit lighter and less sweet, or with something savoury and full-flavoured for balance. Serving it with a too-rich or too-sweet dessert doesn’t allow you to enjoy its merits.
Is Barefoot good wine?

What is the most expensive ice wine?
The 10ha winery in Vineland, Ontario has produced the world’s first Meritage Icewine. Meritage, a term coined in California, is a New World wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. A 37.5cl bottle costs CAN$395 (€246).
How do you store ice wine?
Keep icewine with your regular wine bottles in your cellar or wine fridge. Be sure to keep them lower than room temperature and not in the freezer. Once you open a bottle of icewine, I recommend keeping it in the fridge to preserve its longevity. Icewine can last upwards of a month or more when kept in the fridge.
